The Monthly Data Panel sits within the main application window and allows you to view and/or edit monthly summary information.A monthly climate summary is generated whenever you load new weather data. Some of the data required for this may not be present in all file formats, so this area provides a facility for you to enter/edit this data manually. Only the total monthly rainfall data is really important as it is used when determining the climate type (using the Koppen classification system).
You can open and/or close this panel by clicking in its title area. If you click on the status icon on the right-hand side, the panel will open/close without affecting any of the other panels around it.
Graphical Display
When this panel is selected, the main graphical display will change to a monthly climate summary. This comprises a combined display of daylight hours, temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation and rainfall as well as simple wind roses and heating/cooling/solar degree hours.
Wind Roses
Wind frequency roses are generated at 9:00am and 3:00pm based on hourly data values. Each angle shows 12 month lines, running clockwise from January to December. The dotted line indicates a level of 12.5% - or the length of each line if the distribution in all directions was equal.
Degree Hours
The bottom-right graph shows degree-hour values. The red line gives monthly heating degree hours based on a reference temperature of 18C. The blue line gives cooling degree hours based on 26C. The yellow line indicates solar excess degree days, additional heating due to incident solar radiation on the external envelope of the building.

The following is a description of the items available in this control panel.
Summary Data Button
This button lets you select the average monthly data to edit. When you make a selection, the appropriate area of the graph will highlight in yellow. To get rid of this highlighting, simply select the same value a second time. This selection is also available if you right-click in the graph.
Monthly Values
This grid displays the selected average monthly values. To edit any value, simply click on it and type. To activate the change, hit the Enter key. While still within edit mode you can undo your changes by hitting Ctrl+Z.
